In the years between the first “vision document” and actually executing a trust deed, we got invaluable advice and help from three people. Sriram Panchu guided us through the first set of choices–society? trust? section 25 company? G. Swaminathan drafted our deed for us, patiently answering a million questions and putting up with outrage on a dozen counts, translating legalese. S.A. Bhatt advised us on financial and tax-related issues, helping us register the Trust under Section 12A of the IT Act.

But also vital was the support of the four people who came together with Swarna to make Prajnya possible.
